Why Our Ingredients Matter

At Dewvelle, every formula begins with a simple question: would I put this on my own reactive skin?

That question isn't hypothetical. Dewvelle was born out of skin that couldn't tolerate the essential oils, fragrances, and long ingredient lists that fill most "natural" skincare. When nothing on the shelf worked, we started making our own — slowly, honestly, and with respect for what skin actually needs.

We render our own tallow.
Not sourced in bulk, not bought pre-processed. We render grass-fed beef tallow ourselves, in small batches, 4 times.  Because tallow is one of the few ingredients that mirrors the natural fats already in human skin. That closeness is why it absorbs so readily and calms rather than coats.

We infuse our own botanicals.
Calendula, chamomile, and the herbs we reach for again and again are infused by hand into our oils — never dropped in as a synthetic fragrance or a marketing word. It's slower this way. It's also the only way we trust.

We keep the list short.
Every ingredient in a Dewvelle formula earns its place. If it doesn't nourish, protect, or soothe, it doesn't go in. No fillers, no fragrance, no essential oils — because the fewer things on your skin, the fewer things to react to.

We formulate for the most sensitive skin first.
When you build for reactive, easily-irritated skin, everyone benefits. Our products are gentle enough for the skin that struggles most, and effective enough for anyone who simply wants less on their shelf and more that works.
